Queenabelle's Visit - Part 4
back to Ramblings

AKA – “Life’s a Beach”

I left out one little part of the first day of our visit to Cindy’s house (read about it here).  I made it sound like we went right from lunch into dinner, when actually there was a little bit that I didn’t tell you about that happened before dinner.  After we arrived, exhausted and bedraggled from fighting our way through the monsoon-like rains, and after we had enjoyed a nice hot meal, the skies cleared and the sun came out!

You would have thought we had struck gold.  After days and days of rain, we couldn’t wait to get outside and soak up some rays.  We piled into Cindy’s car and headed for the beach.

There is nothing quite like a walk along the surf’s edge to clear your head, although I have to say I love time trekking along my favorite wild rivers just as much.  Oh – and I can’t forget my favorite mountain lakes.  Oh, forget it – I have too many favorites.

The sun started to set and still we didn’t want to leave.

Finally the cold and the darkness forced us back to the car.  But what a treat it had been to get out and stretch our legs, breathe the fresh ocean air and watch the dogs romp in the waves.  This was the coast I had been telling Queenabelle about!  Thank goodness she got to see a little bit of it without huddling beneath an umbrella!
