Message: Big sigh, lump in throat and goose bumps all at once, thank you for sharing 'CB' and his remarkable recovery. Which is in no small measure due to his dedicated caregivers! He looks so wonderful!!

Message: I just stumbled across this and can add encouradgment, you see, we own a Quarter Horse who was hit with a stop sign in a tornado. His right rear foot was severed just above the hoofline and only held attached by tendons.
Last weekend, we had a hell of a time loading him back in the trailer cause he just wasn't done trail riding yet.Yes he gets ridden on a regular basis and other than a nice scar, you could never tell he was this close to being an amputee.
Something that really helped us was, Horse accupuncture, and Horse Chiropractic, I don't know if any of it really helped him heal, but he seemed more comfortable during the healing process, and the special hands on work helped to stregthen the horse/handler bond.
